Permanent Exterior Lighting Installation in Watervliet

Our crew installs a low-profile LED channel under your roof edge, color-matched to the trim so it's hard to spot by day. After dark, you choose the color, brightness and timing from your phone. The ladder stays in the garage every November, and your gutters stay free of clips.

Lights that stay up and look right all year

Permanent lighting is a row of small LED pods set inside an aluminum channel. The channel mounts under the roof edge or along the fascia, so it sits out of sight from the street. You only see it when it's on.

Everything runs through an app-controlled box that plugs into an outdoor outlet. Warm white for every night of the year. Red and green in December. Your team's colors on game day. You set it once and it follows the schedule on its own.

We've been in business 5 years, and we install every run the way we'd want it done on our own street. Clean lines, tight fasteners, wires tucked away, and nothing left in your yard when we pack up.

What comes with your installation

A walk-around and layout plan

We look at your roofline, peaks and corners and where the nearest outdoor outlet is. Then we tell you where the lights will run and where they'll stop.

Track matched to your trim

The channel comes in colors that blend with common fascia and gutter colors. White trim gets white track. Brown trim gets brown.

LED pods and the power supply

We set the pods at even spacing so the line looks smooth from the curb. The power supply mounts near the outlet, off the ground and out of the way.

Phone app, ready to go

Once the lights are up, we link the controller to your home Wi-Fi and install the app for you. Then we walk you through colors, timers and building a holiday pattern.

Product warranty

The lights carry a 10-year product warranty. If a pod or part fails under that coverage, you call us and we sort it out.

When it's time to switch to permanent lighting

  • Fall ladder work wears you out

Hanging strands on a cold, windy afternoon is risky. Permanent lighting goes up once and stays put.

  • Your gutters have clip marks

Plastic clips bend gutter lips and leave scuffs. A mounted track holds the lights without hanging anything off your gutters.

  • The front of the house is dark at night

A soft white line along the roof lights the walk and the front steps, and it adds curb appeal every evening.

  • You want more than one season

Strands come down in January. Permanent lighting works for Halloween, the Fourth of July, birthdays and plain evenings too.

  • Last year's strands are half out

If you're buying new strings again, it may be time to stop. One install replaces the yearly cycle of tangles and dead bulbs.

How the job goes

  1. 1

    Phone call and free quote

You call, we ask about your house and set a time to come look. After the walk-around you get a clear quote with the footage and parts spelled out.

  2. 2

    Install day

Our crew sets ladders on pads so they don't mark siding or dig into the lawn. We mount the track, run the pods and hide the wire along the trim. Most single-family homes take a day.

  3. 3

    Testing after dark

We power everything up and check each section for even color and spacing. If a pod looks off, we swap it before we call the job done.

  4. 4

    Walkthrough and cleanup

We show you the app, answer questions and pick up every scrap of packaging and cut track. You get a finished home exterior and a clean yard.

What moves the price

Every house is a little different, so we price after we've seen it. The quote is free, and it lists what you're paying for. Here is what makes a job bigger or smaller.

Length of roofline
Price follows footage. A simple front run costs less than lighting every side and every peak.
Height and roof pitch
A second or third story, steep gables or tight spots over porches take more time and more care with ladders.
Power location
Most systems plug into an outdoor outlet. If there isn't one near the starting point, we'll tell you up front so it's not a surprise.
Zones and controllers
One controller can run a lot of lights. Separate zones, like the garage on its own schedule, add parts.

Questions about permanent lighting

Something not covered here? (518) 535-7940

Can people see the track during the day?

Not much. It sits tucked under the roof edge or along the fascia and matches your trim color. From the sidewalk most people never notice it until it lights up.

Will it hold up to snow and ice?

Yes. The pods are sealed for outdoor use and sit inside the channel, out of the worst weather. Our winters bring heavy snow and ice, and the lights keep working through it. We still keep the track clear of spots where ice tends to slide off the roof.

Does installation damage my roof or gutters?

We don't drill through shingles or hang anything off the gutter lip. The track fastens to the trim with small screws. If you ever take it down, the holes are minor and easy to fill.

How much power does it use?

Very little. The pods are LEDs, so a full roofline running every evening uses about what a few regular bulbs would. The app also lets you set it to shut off at a set time.

What happens if a light stops working?

Give us a call. The system comes with a 10-year product warranty, and a single pod can be swapped without pulling down the whole run. We're licensed and insured, so the repair is done properly and safely.

Do you work outside Watervliet?

We do. Our crews install permanent lighting in Troy, Green Island, Cohoes, Latham, Menands and other towns close by. The Service Areas page lists every town we cover.
